I'm a mommy

My new role: A mom! It's been an adventure so far. And it's just begun! I am so in love with my son. Nathan turns 8 months on Sunday and man, has time flown by. Well, actually if I think about the last time I've had a normal night of sleep, then I'd have to say time has gone slowly because it's been a while. I really should be sleeping now instead of blogging! Just sitting here on my computer feeling like my old pre-baby self a little bit. I'm sure I'll pay the price tomorrow for staying up while the baby is actually sleeping! We should just call this post 'sleeplessness' Anywho, I think I'll go to bed, typing has made me aware of my tiredness! LOL goodnight!

Less than 1 month till due date!

We are so close to meeting Baby Boy B! After this week he is considered full term! We are so in love with this little guy and just can't wait to see him. His nursery is about ready for him with dresser drawers full of little folded outfits we are so excited to see him wear. We took our child-birthing class together last weekend at the hospital. It made me nervous, but also happy to know how good of a coach Steve will be. And to know that after all the unknown labor, that our son will be in our arms!

We are SO thankful for the beautiful day we had at our Baby Shower last month. Thank you to everyone who so lovingly blessed us with everything to take care of Baby B! He is so loved!

On a side note- These last couple weeks have been uncomfortable and I can barely remember not being pregnant! I will not take rolling over in bed easily for granted again!

Double Digits!

Weeks are flying by here in the Bongiorno house! Currently 27w3days..so close to 3rd trimester! We are now less than 100 days till due date! Watching my belly & waiting for baby's movements is a fun hobby here. It's so amazing to think that now his due date is less than 3 months away now! That means I can say in 2 something months he'll be here with us! A new addition to our family. Our little lovebug. His nursery is starting to come together and the color turned out just how I hoped (which makes this mommy happy!). Every time I see his crib in there I almost have to pinch myself! Thank You Lord for this new life!

Thanks mom & dad for helping get crib up and nursery started! And lots of thanks to steve, his dad, my dad, and auntie V for painting!!

Craving: ICE CREAM!

Double Digits! in the 80's now!
And is it possible to be CRAVING vacation to somewhere warm?!!

Baby Registry Must Haves

I've been thinking about the registering I need to do this month & it is overwhelming! I am so happy to have moms in my life to help me out though! I also found this blog post that seemed helpful! Any moms have some must haves to add to my list that they have used and loved? Thanks!

Little Baby Garvin: Baby Registry Must Haves: I have been working on this post for a loooooong time, wanting to make sure I really was able to speak to the usefulness, reliability & o...

Week 21 Kicks!

21 Weeks: "Your baby will still be doing plenty of acrobatics, so it’s possible you’ll start to feel proper kicking as opposed to fluttering!"

I am officially feeling my son kick! And I am loving feeling him and being able to bond with him in this way. It's such an amazing feeling! And we're past the halfway mark!

"Your baby is grazing on whatever you are right now, but those stretch marks are yours alone, Mom."
-yeah, starting to see some of those too

Our sweetie is a HE!

Wow, We're having a son! And we couldn't be happier! I love knowing more about the little sweets in there and can't wait to feel him move around. We had so much fun last weekend. First at the ultrasound just Steve & I waited as the last ones in the dr's office. Finally they called us in. Right away, without the tech saying anything I saw we were having a boy! After the whole scan was pretty much done, she finally said out loud that it's a boy! Ahhh, yay! We kept the secret till the next night when the family was coming over to hear the big news. The night of the ultrasound was a sweet one, dreaming of our future family with our precious son in it. I also got nervous thinking I don't know how to raise a boy! Steve reassured me he will be there to play legos, watch guys movies, and play with trucks in the dirt together. I am so looking forward to seeing my hubby become a daddy with our son. How precious!
Our family all came over dressed in blue or pink (Or both for my dad, who made a shirt that was half pink half blue!) Majority of the fam voted boy, and soon found out they were right. We revealed by letting out blue balloons out of our Christmas bag. The loud cheers were amazing! We had a fun night of pink+blue and revealing that there will be another Mr. Bongiorno to carry on the family name!
